Dissertation about Poverty – part 3
There are surveys as well as statistics that show that the actual amount that Europe and the United States of America allots for their budget for perfume may already be enough in order to meet the needs of the different countries’ in terms of each country’s food as well sanitation necessities. But what is saddening is that there are certain government institutions that do not actually give this utmost importance and would even take time to think of ways as to how the people would be informed about this. There is a debt crisis which the Third World or the countries that are less developed, are currently facing. By means of different statistics, one would be able to see that during the year 1997, the actual amount of debt that the Third World needed to pay the countries belonging to the First World was about $2.17 trillion and you would be able to see a drastic change to this amount if you would take a lot at the amount of debt during 1990.
Every single day, the various countries that are part of the Third World would have to give up as much as $717 million to the wealthy nations just so that the debt would decrease. A baby who is part of a family from a country that is less developed would already have a debt of about $482, which means that by birth, he or she already has a liability to pay. These amounts simply show how much the poor from this kind of country is suffering. No matter how much aid these families are able to receive, it seems as if it is still not enough in order for them to be able to pay up the liability that they have to pay. What makes the lives of these families even harder is the fact that even if a country that is developed shells out aid for them, the countries that are less developed would still have to pay it and it would as if the cycle of paying debt would never end, This in turn results to the lack of funds that countries which are considered to be Third World are experiencing which means that the different governing bodies of these countries would have to allocate the amount that they receive in order to pay debts instead of allocating money in order to help out those who are in great need of support and aid.
