Dissertation about Poverty - part 1
This chapter is a dissertation about Poverty:
There are things in live that we just take for granted when in the first place, it should actually be greatly be taken into consideration. Through the Jesus Christ’s history, Christians all around the globe would be able to realize that things were not as complicated as it is today and during Christ’s time, people were more selfless in the sense that these people were more than willing to do things for the good of other people instead of thinking about their personal interests or personal gains. People of today are becoming more and more engrossed to the innovation as well as evolution of technology that everyone is able to experience and no longer give importance to what they may share or impart with others who are actually in need. During the time of Jesus Christ, most people did not have a lot of money or properties but they were still willing to share to others what they have as well as try their best to help those who are in need, compared to the people of today. It may seem that a lot of people are more prosperous more than ever however, it is frustrating to know that those who are in great need are not actually able to receive the kind of help that they need. The government may have the means and the power to provide, but the actual application of the means is not quite evident. By being able to analyze the different issues that relate to poverty, more particularly the poverty in Third World countries, it would now be easier to come up with solutions that would help eradicate the problems, slowly but surely.
Africa, Mexico, Haiti, as well as South and East Asia, are just some of the places which you may consider as Third World, and are experiencing extreme poverty. Different families in these places have to deal each day with scarcity of water, food as well as proper health care. You would surely be able to ascertain the extent of poverty in these areas by relating it with how absolute poverty is defined. Absolute poverty is the extent wherein a lot of people are malnourished, do not how to read or write, and may even have diseases that are in a way, may be considered extreme.
