Dissertation about Poverty – Part 4
Despite the fact that the number of countries that are poor all over the world are great in number, which may even have to pay debt to countries that are more developed, these countries that are considered to be poor are also able to do something in return for those wealthy countries in different kinds of means. One instance which may be considered wherein the less developed are able to help out may be exemplified by a bar of chocolate by Hershey’s. A lot of these chocolate bars are actually made up of materials that may come from countries like Nigeria, a place that is rich in cocoa beans, Latin America could have possibly been the source for sugar. A place in Africa, Sudan is also a great source of nuts that would be used for the bar of chocolate. There is no doubt that oil, in the form of fuel, may also have come from various countries that belong to the Third World since these countries are able to provide about 56% of the oil that is being used all over the globe. Different kinds of food items may also be provided by countries that are less developed to the more developed countries. This simply means that the wealthy countries would surely gain something from the countries of the Third World and in turn, these wealthy countries could possibly provide the latter with some sort of help.
There may come a point wherein you would realize that poverty is really becoming prevalent everywhere and taking a step in order eradicate this problem should definitely become of utmost important. You may even wonder why some of the wealthiest countries allocate money to things that are not quite timely, like for instance providing fund just so the government would be able to buy weapons in order for this wealthy country to win in times of war, or certain governments who are able to allocate a budget in order for its country to cope up with the evolution of the fast-paced technology. Instead of allocating money for these kinds of things, the governing bodies should give more priority to those millions of people who have nothing to eat almost every single day. There is no doubt that this problem of poverty is already becoming more and more alarming and the different governing institutions no longer need evidence just so they could start taking action about it. If still some sort of proof is necessary in order for people to take action, then, one should try thinking about the living condition of women and children all over the globe and see how great the percentage is for those women and children who are suffering.
